Top Tips for Easy Parenting
In today’s Telegraph magazine, the advertisement feature for Finish QuantuMatic dish washer tablets contains a list of tips on how to make life more hassle free. The credit is to Dawn Breslin who is a lifestyle coach.
HelloBaby believes that life and shopping should always be hassle free and hopes you enjoy Dawn’s tips:
Tip 1. Cook double, then freeze half.
Tip2. Say Yes to offers of help.
Tip 3. Plan your work and, critically, your rest time, by creating a timetable. Stick it to a wall and use it to break tasks into manageable chunks.
Tip 4. If you have children, designate a “tomorrow cupboard” for all of those homework books, PE kits and lunchboxes.
Tip 5. Accept there is only so much you can do in a day.
Tip 6. Many hands really do make light work – even little ones. Get the kids to muck in.
Tip 7. Keep all your keys in an easy-to-find box.
Tip 8. Be an early bird: have an early night, preferably by winding down with a book or some music, and enjoy an early (child-free!) start to the day.
Tip 9. Save time on matching socks by giving everyone a mesh bag that goes straight into the washing machine.
Top 10. Cut down on unnecessary cleaning. No one’s coming round to inspect!
Tip 11. Shop for basics on line.
Tip 12. Make Sunday night “pamper night”. Cut the kids nails then have a long soak, administer your own foot bath and paint your own nails.
