The Heart-to-Heart Prenatal Listening System from Summer Infant

I have only written one post about as single baby product before, but I thought the Heart-to-Heart Prenatal Listening System from Summer Infant was also deserving of its own post.  Remembering a work colleague some years ago, back from her prenatal clinic appointment with a printout of the ultrasound scan which she promptly framed and proudly put on her desk, I thought the Listening System might provide new parents with the same pleasure.

Summer Infant Heart-to-Heart Prenatal Listening System, can be used to listen to and record Prenatal sounds.

Summer Infant Heart-to-Heart Prenatal Listening System, can be used to listen to and record Prenatal sounds.

The Heart-to-Heart Prenatal Listening System from Summer Infant is a wonderful way to hear and share the precious sounds of your unborn baby’s tiny heart.  It does not use ultrasound technology, and is safe and non-invasive.  It is the perfect way to start the bonding process with your baby.  Recording cable allows you to record the heartbeat to your home computer to share with family and friends.  Heartbeat sensor allows you to start listening to your baby’s heartbeat, hiccups and kicks starting around the middle of the second trimester – typically between 21-28 weeks.

The product comes with an instructional CD with sample sounds.

There is a also a set of instructions with the Listening System describing how best to use it, how to record sounds to a PC running a Windows operating system (I rather expect our friends with Macs will already know), and, quite properly, emphasising that this in no way takes the place of proper prenatal care from Medical Professionals.

The Prenatal Listening System requires a nine Volt battery which is not included. You can find the The Heart-to-Heart Prenatal Listening System from Summer Infant here.
