Homeguard, have designed a barrier specifically to protect children under the age of five from falling from windows.  The child safety barrier is fitted internally, across the front of a window or to the reveals, and is very simple to fit.  It is made from steel and finished with a very high quality maintenance free powder coating finish. The barriers have adjustable fixing arms on each corner for ease of installation, and rest on brackets fitted into angled side fixing bars. Top corners of the safety barrier are fitted with child resistant keyless camlocks, like this:

both  of these locks have to be released in order for the barrier to be lifted off the brackets.

The height of these barriers is 800 mm, and they are  suitable for windows greater than 890mm in Height. An additional centre fixing for the bottom bar is supplied for barriers wider than 1600mm. The sturdy infill bars are vertical to prevent a child climbing them with a maximum of gap 65mm. Each barrier is individually made to order from your instructions. The safety barriers are made  of steel with a white powder coating finish.

Our prices include these child safety window barriers with side bars and fixing arms with locks fitted. Available in custom made sizes from 200-2000mm wide,  an additional centre fixing for the bottom bar is supplied for barriers wider than 1600mm.

However what the pictures don’t show are choking clouds of midges, mosquitoes and  Horseflies the size of fledgling Jumbo Jets.

One comfort is that Malaria was eradicated in the UK a century ago.
